Space Invaders
This is an example of my EDM poster idea that was made in Photoshop and Illustrator. This was done be inverting the colors of the picture I took at a concert and duplicating them around the page.

The Process

Below, I drew a layout of how I imagined I wanted the EDM poster to look like. I kind of knew where I wanted everything to go, but it took some time trying to pick the right typeface and color choices I wanted to go with so that it would still be able to stand out on the poster. Especially since most of the poster is technically white but with a lot of different neon colors added (mainly neon green which is why I chose that color to pop). I wanted to stick with a bright white font with neon outline so it looks like it is glowing.

A Couple Typeface Designs
I wasn't entirely sure how I wanted my typeface to look on the poster, other than I knew I wanted something that glowed and was either a blue, green, or yellow neon text color. I tried using a cursive font for the main title, but it just didn't look right so I stuck with option 3, a bolder and thinner font.

A Couple Custom Ideas For The Event
I threw together a few ideas that I thought would be cool to have this design on. Like most shows, the merch stand is very popular, especially with t-shirts. A few more ideas I thought of was on a billboard (a great way to advertise upcoming events for passing drivers), a CD (the mockup on a cassette tape looked neat, but I ended up changing it to a CD since that is more common. I picked a bag since a lot of girls especially like carrying bags around. Lastly, an Instagram post and pamphlet as another common area you see events being shared.
